It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a team that has achieved everything.

That it took up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the pitchers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's difficult for their batters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to anticipate.

"A chance to take the field and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

When she was removed her side required another 66 at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the belief to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the last competing nations at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph coming after victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she later said she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have postponed thoughts of retirement, this championship is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is yet to win a world championship as leader.

Success in India would lead her to the peak of her last major obstacle.
