EU Officials Decry US Action as ‘Coercion’

Officials from Europe including Emmanuel Macron accused Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on figures that were central to campaigns to enact laws governing American tech companies.

“For too long, ideologues in Europe have spearheaded coordinated campaigns to pressure American platforms to suppress US perspectives they oppose,” stated a senior US official online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate such actions of extraterritorial censorship.”
